Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Valve just revealed that a new Counter-Strike game is in development. It appears that an outside studio is doing the actual development work, so, that's kind of interesting.
There's not much info right now other than that, but it has a lot of people wondering if it's going to herald a new update to the Source engine as each new game seems to do.

Re: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

I see the game's poster designer went to the Medal of Honor school of box art.

I'm rather pissed that Valve continues to put off Episode Three in favor of other projects. I mean, Christ. I could have write the entire story of the third episode FOR them by now.

Valve aren't developing this new cs title, though for sure it's using up some small bit of thier time.

Andy you seen how many words that is can you summarize?

I think it should be interesting but might be like condition zero, a failure.

a counterstrike should only be released with each new engine, and possibilly a dlc, to add good custom maps occationally

Re: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

- It Looks great.
- Doesn't feel like Source engine despite being made on it.
- They're trying to make all the weapons more useful so that m4 and ak aren't no.1 all the time.
- Still needs some tweeking to certain weapon damages.
- Possibly going to have 1 defuse kit per ct team or something like that.
