Areaportals (The horror!!!)

Image

So I was optimizing my map with areaportals. That happened. How exactly does it leak on itself on the same side? It looks like everything else is sealed fine...

Re: Areaportals (The horror!!!)

.
Delete it and rebuild it?
No possible way it could be getting around to it's self like maybe displacements or Func_detail?
What in the world is it doing up there anyway? Whats on the other side?

What engine is this in?

Re: Areaportals (The horror!!!)

I found a few ways that could leak and deleted it. It wasn't the right visibility solution for the area.

The map at present is four towers, six stories each, one of which is collapsed. And I have to optimize it. If I somehow pull it off, it'll be a very fun hub map. But it's going to be tough to optimize because of the number of places the player can be and the lack of places to hide geometry.

As for why the areaportal is in the sky, it's because it was splitting the map in half, three stories above, three stories below.
